#5 Riddles and Creativity

Creativity is a mental process that can be developed with years of practice. A person which is considered practical has the ability to create easy solutions for any problem. The creativity can be helpful to overcome this situations with a practical answer, but sometimes the creativity we have can lead us out from the main problem.

Look at the following riddles and try to answer just one of them. Remember not to answer one that is already answered (even if is incorrect), don't try to overthink the riddles as there are some that are simple and some that require a mental or mathematical process.

In 30 words give the answer to the riddle and a small explanation of how you got to that result. follow the next format:

Name of the problem: solution-explanation...(eg.Smith Family: XXXXX-xxxxxx....)

1. Smith Family. In the Smith family, there are 7 sisters and each sister has 1 brother. If you count Mr. Smith, how many males are there in the Smith family?

When all three couples were dancing, the man in red was dancing with the woman in blue. "Isn't it funny Christine, not one of us is dancing with a partner dressed in the same color." 1. I chose the riddle "Fill in the blank" because I found it so easy to answered it.
I think that the numbers that complete the sequence are 70, 72, 74, 76 because if you look carefully you can notice that the sequence goes by 2 and the number 8 is omitted and also you can notice that after the number with 6 then it skips until the next ten.

  2. 4. Earth weigh: 6 sextillion tons , I think that the weight of the earth will not change because you will use the materials on the earth to build it but if you bring the material from out of earth the weight will change.

  3. 1. Smith Family. In the Smith family, there are 7 sisters and each sister has 1 brother. If you count Mr. Smith, how many males are there in the Smith family?
    - A total of 8 men in the family, because if there are seven sisters and for each sister there is a brother the total is 7 brothers and Mr Smith
I choose this problem because its an easy one and you don´t need complicated maths to get the result and it was the shortest one.

  4. I choose: 6. Pile. You would only have 1 pile because it doesn’t matter the number of piles you have if you put them all together you would only have 1 pile.

  5. 3. Horse: He won $20. If this man wasted $60 the fist time and then he got $70, that shows that he has +$10 but when he bought it again for $80 and sold it for $90 that means he got +$10 at the end he made$20.
I used basic mathematics foe this riddle (:

  6. 10. cabin- I really don´t know the answer but I think she should light the kerosene lantern first because the falme will long and with the fire you could light the others options you have, if i were she i would do it.
And I don´t know if she can light the match, the riddle don´t mention if she could.

  7. 7. The man was dancing had the color blue because if the woman she deserves of the blue dress is dancing with the guy of red suit , the they exchange couples , ando the other ones are dancing with the color they need to be dancing.

  8. 8-.Widow: Well a man can get married with his widow´s sister if she doesn´t have some boyfriend or a husband. But well also it is like bad seems because it is like you finished a relation, you go for a second plate of the same family so it is better to not go with there sisters because of the ethic to not go for the second plate

  9. 13. Invention.... I found this one easy to answer. The ancient invention are windows. Windows allow us to see through walls with no technology. It's just a hole in the wall and nothing more. Genius creation, maybe we think it's not original or that it doesn't have any creativity, but before, it didn't existed. Someone had to create it.
